Golf beneath the giants.
A championship course cradled by four munros and mirrored in Loch Mara — firm Highland turf, mountain air, and a stone lodge with rooms and a whisky bar at the water's edge.
Every way in to Glenmara
Whether you have come to play, to join, or to mark an occasion, the next step is here.
Glenmara is a Highland golf resort on the shore of Loch Mara, beneath four munros — a championship course, a nine-hole loch course, and a stone lodge built for the long evenings.
The championship course climbs from the loch shore into the lee of the mountains, the fairways running fast over Highland turf and the greens set against a wall of stone and water. Few rounds anywhere are framed like this.
Below the first tee, the nine-hole loch course traces the water's edge; behind it, the lodge keeps rooms, a kitchen and a whisky bar lit late. Stay, play both courses, and let the mountains do the rest.
The seventh, with the munros beyond the loch
“You stand on the seventh tee, the loch dead still and four mountains stacked behind the green, and you forget entirely about your score.”On the view from the seventh
