Championship course opens for the season
The championship course is open and running fast after a dry Highland spring — the head greenkeeper reports firm fairways and true greens the whole way from the loch shore up into the mountain holes.
A gentle winter and a great deal of quiet work below the snow line have left the turf in the best order we can remember at this stage of the year. Expect the ball to run and the approaches to release, so pick your landing spots with care.
The nine-hole loch course follows in June, weather willing. Members and lodge guests can then play both courses through the long Highland evenings, when the light lingers on the water until well after nine.
