A modern championship course, built for the way we play now
Eighteen holes of precise, contemporary championship golf in Greater Manchester, open to course and range members alike.
Generous off the tee, firm and fast at the green — a championship test built for a confident, data-led game.
Designed from the turf up in 2018, Meridian rewards a confident, data-led game — generous landing zones off the tee giving way to firm, fast greens that demand a number on every approach. Floodlit and app-booked, it plays as well at 9pm as it does at noon.
Five holes that define a night at Meridian — though under the lights, with the wind off the quay, the course is happy to nominate a few more of its own.

5th · Redline · Par 4
Redline earns its name: water hugs the whole left side, and the closer you flirt with it off the tee the shorter the number you leave in. Bail out right and the green turns its shoulder on you, tucked behind a tongue of sand that swallows anything long. It's the hole where the app's course guide and your nerve rarely agree — pick the line, trust the number, and don't blink.

7th · Floodgate · Par 3
Nothing but water sits between the tee and a green that glows under the lights — Floodgate is the prettiest one-shotter on the property and the one that quietly ends most good rounds. There's no ground game here and no bailout worth having, just a pure question of club and commitment. Trust the number the range gave you, make a confident swing, and let the floodlights do the rest.

9th · The Cauldron · Par 5
The Cauldron is Meridian's showpiece and it knows it: a reachable-in-two green all but ringed by sand, sitting in the full glare of the clubhouse glass with every terrace drink watching. Take it on and the reward is an eagle putt in front of a crowd; miss it and the bunkers turn a birdie hole into a long, public walk. There's nowhere to hide out here — which is exactly why the members love it.

15th · Afterburn · Par 4
By the fifteenth the round is usually on the line, and Afterburn is where it's won or lost. It plays dead into the prevailing quayside breeze, the longest of the two-shotters, to a green that runs firm and fast and gives nothing back to a tired swing. Keep the ball down, take one more club than pride allows, and treat a four here like the birdie it really is.
18th · Floodlight · Par 5
Meridian saves its loudest hole for last. Floodlight sweeps home beneath the towers with the range buzzing behind the green and the clubhouse glass lit up ahead — a genuine stadium finish. The long hitters will fancy getting there in two, but the smart play lays back to a full wedge and a birdie under the lights. However you choose to play it, you finish where the whole place can see.
